The Street Cottage comes ready for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and dishwasher, making it straightforward to cook from scratch or reheat something simple. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. There's a woodburner in the living room, a roll-top bath and walk-in shower upstairs, and a garden outside. One well-behaved dog can stay free of charge.
The ground floor is open plan, with living and dining areas flowing into the kitchen. Upstairs, you get a kingsize bedroom with the bathroom, and on the second floor two double bedrooms. It sleeps six in total and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. The village has a pub within a mile, a shop and an art cafe nearby. Stroud itself, a short drive away, hosts a well-regarded farmers market and has a range of independent shops and restaurants. For walkers, the area offers trails including the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way and the towpath along Stroudwater Canal. Historic houses such as Berkeley Castle and Chavenage are within reasonable driving distance. The cottage does not permit smoking.
