RV park near Bungay with 45 electric hook-ups; on-site canoe hire and riverside access for water sports.

About Outney Meadow Caravan Park

Outney Meadow is a caravan park with 45 pitches, each with electric hook-ups and water connections. The site sits beside the River Waveney, which brings both advantages and a trade-off: you get direct access for kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing, plus canoe hire on-site, but some visitors report noise from the water and activity. The sanitary block is kept clean, with showers, laundry facilities and a washing-up area. LPG is available on-site. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful.

This is a family-friendly site that allows pets. The location puts you a short walk from the Green Dragon pub, and close to Bungay & Waveney Valley Golf Club if you fancy a round. The size—45 pitches—means it is not a vast sprawl, but large enough that it will be reasonably busy during peak times rather than a quiet retreat.

First impressions this on arrival the site looks more like a builders merchants than a camp site. However when you drive to your pitch it's a typical camp site and tidy. Great close proximity to Bungay. It's also close to the Green Dragon brewery and pub which is fabulous local beer. Alough you do take your life in your hands crossing the A143 at the roundabout as no one gives way and approachs at speed. It's also close to he river and we walked along the Angels Way to Beccles and got the 580 bus back. It was about 2hrs and lovely. Also went to the local Avaition Museum close by at Flixston which was nice. We used the car as the road was busy. Button press showers which I never like. I would rate it 7/10 and we'll stay again. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Lovely quiet site. Facilities clean and tidy. Option to camp very near to the River Waveney. Big bonus, we had stunning weather to add to the mix😊

Well maintained with good facilities, but road noise a bit off-putting in the morning. Get out on the river though with a hired canoe for 2,3 or 4 people, just beautiful.
