About Paradise Barn Camping and Caravanning

This peaceful 14-acre Suffolk smallholding draws rabbits, deer, pheasants and even a resident barn owl to its well-kept gardens – though the spacious pitches, dark skies and campfire-friendly atmosphere prove equally appealing to human visitors. Set well back from main roads, Paradise Barn offers genuine tranquillity and direct access to quiet country lanes perfect for cycling or walking (you can reach Bungay or Flixton without touching a major route). There's a trout lake next door for anglers, while the site also arranges sea-fishing trips from Lowestoft, 20 miles away.

Most evenings unfold at a gentle pace around the barbecues and picnic tables, though occasional live music adds a spark. Halesworth lies three miles distant for pubs and provisions. Note this is an adults-only site with no pets allowed, which helps preserve the wildlife-haven atmosphere but won't suit families or dog owners.

Really like the seclusion of the site out in the countryside. Only my second visit after previously visiting in June. Friendly and helpful owners. Cannot comment on much as I have only had one short stay as yet but hope to visit as much as possible.

Camp site was lovely and quiet. Owners seemed lovely. Unfortunately the toilet, shower and the washing up facilities really let it down. There was only 1 outside sink, 3 toilets and 3 shower for the whole camp site to use. They was not very clean and didn't have anyone regular cleaning them through out our stay there. They didn't have any hand dryer or hand tissue towels to dry hands. Toilet roll ran out in all 3 toilets on the Saturday and was not refill till we was leaving the next day. Shower trays overflowed while using them and soaked the whole room. Which made it difficult to get changed in to clean clothes without getting them wet. Mop that was used to clean the floors was out side toilets was absolutely disgusting. Needs better lighting for at night as it was really dark and did not like walking over there by myself. We would not recommend this place to stay just due to the facilities. Everything else was fine tho. Really hope they sort these issues out and it would be a great camp site.

Positives If you are 100% self sufficient, this is the place for you If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Negatives Not worth the price, spent same money in Woodbridge, much better facilities Toilets have no hazard tape, tripped and fell into toilet Push button shower, no hot water, no shower curtain, sprays in face, cold slippy floor Other shower, sprays all out of the top of shower, for a fiver that could have been replaced. No shower curtain, floor slippery and very cold No tissues to dry your hands in toilets No mirrors One standard sized domestic bin for a whole campsite NO CARD PAYMENTS. Name “paradise”, this is not.
