About The Cider Farm Fishery

The Cider Farm Fishery offers a peaceful retreat just outside Bungay, tucked into Suffolk's rural patchwork with fishing lakes on site and genuinely wild surroundings. It's an adults-only spot that attracts anglers and those seeking something quieter and more remote than typical family parks — though with only portable toilet facilities and outdoor showers, it's better suited to hardy campers who don't mind keeping things simple.

Pitches accommodate jumbo tents and motorhomes on grass, with or without electric hook-up, and dogs are welcome year-round. Barbecues are encouraged, and you can pick up gas cylinders on site. The setting feels genuinely wild, a proper wildlife haven beside the water, yet Bungay's pubs and restaurants are close enough when you fancy heading out. A solid, honest option for Suffolk tourers who value space and stillness over polish.

We're quite new to camping so bear this in mind. Luke was fabulous, very friendly and welcoming. Pitches are all around the lake, 20 feet or less from tent/camper/motorhome. Fishing was good everyone was catching, mostly small fish but occasionally big (I'm not technical on this!) There is one portable loo and one portable shower on site, whilst they are kept very clean at all times my husband was extremely self conscious of going - you know! He spends 20 mins on the loo at home, why?? Also the washing up area is clean but there is no hot water there. There is an onsite bar serving 'homemade' cider plus all your usual drinks, bear in mind if you get drunk with all your campmates you have to face them the next day 🤣🤣 Pool and air hockey were free in the bar. Food was also served at the bar garden, unfortunately it was burgers when we were there and we had bbq burgers etc planned for 2 nights already so it was a no for us. The campsite is on a very busy road, so you cannot walk to village pub or shop. We had a lovely time here and will go back, just wanna give information 😀

After losing our dog, we needed a peaceful getaway to reset and recharge. We booked here because it was remote and had a fishing lake, without doing too much research beforehand and what an incredible discovery it turned out to be. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and full of calming energy. It's the perfect place to slow down, switch off, and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday life. Highlights included: • A lovely onsite bar • Excellent home-brewed cider • A well-maintained fishing lake • A friendly chicken who seemed to enjoy spending time with us What really made our stay great , though, were the owners. They are two of the warmest, kindest, and most welcoming people we've met in a long time. Their hospitality creates a wonderful atmosphere that attracts equally respectful and friendly guests. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return. Sometimes the places you don't spend hours researching end up being the most memorable. Thank you for such a special stay—we'll definitely be back soon!

Beautiful countryside and brilliant camping/fishing site. Luke and his family have worked hard and have achieved so much. We stayed for 6 nights and never slept so well, peaceful and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Luke is a credit to the cider farm, he was so welcoming and knowledgeable (little banter thrown in). Luke made us feel very welcome and the vegetables were home grown and very tasty. He even popped into town for us. Whole experience was brilliant.

Lovely little place, Luke and his other half Patricia should be really pleased with what theyve achieved here. As avid fishermen/women, we came and had a look about 2 or 3 years ago, and have to admit, wasn't impressed. But came and had another look a couple of weeks ago, because I saw a post on Facebook and WOW, what a transformation 👏 👌 😍. We stayed a couple of nights in our MH, everything we needed is there, water, electric hookups etc, and we did plenty of fishing 🎣. We had loads and loads of small carp, a few bigger ones up to 7lb, and I had a couple of 4lb tench. There are bigger fish in there, you can see them, but, with the hot weather, low water levels, I'd estimate a good 15 to 18 inches down on normal and low oxygen levels, them buggers weren't interested lol 😀
