Patricks with Rooms sits directly on the Mumbles seafront, and its reputation locally rests as much on the restaurant downstairs as on the individually designed bedrooms above it. Each room is decorated in its own style, several with sea views over the bay towards Swansea and the Bristol Channel beyond.
The restaurant focuses on seasonal, locally sourced menus, with a wine list that has picked up regional recognition, and guests staying upstairs are within easy walking distance of the pier, the lighthouse and the start of the Gower coast path. It is a small, personally run property rather than a chain hotel, and books up well ahead for weekends.
Its position on the Mumbles Mile puts a run of pubs, cafes and independent shops on the doorstep, making it a good base for a couple's break built around walking, food and the seafront rather than the city centre.

We booked this accommodation because it's dog-friendly and there are few hotels/apartments that are so we decided to give it a try. We chatted with the owner who was very hands-on and complimented her on their setup. As you head up to the rooms, you'll find towels to dry up your dog; a mini sewing kit station, wine glasses, teabags (if you used up the stash in your room), a jar full of dog treats and yes, a shoe polish kit too! Our room is loaded with stuff you need for breakfast cereals, milk, orange juice, biscuits, Welsh cakes, coffee and tea. We find it very thoughtful. Thank you for the upgrade too. It was a lovely room with views of the Mumbles Beach. Such a view to wake up to every morning. If there's anything I hope they have, it's a microwave; even one on a communal spot where guests can share its use. But other than that, such a lovely place ran by an equally lovely woman. Cheers! 🥂

I can highly recommend Patricks boathouse. Absolutely gorgeous break. So peaceful and fantastic views of sea.. Our room.was beautiful and clean . All the added extras were a delight 😊 Welsh cakes. Cereals . Orange juice . Tea coffee milk. And lush smelling toiletries . We will be back again thank you so much ❤️. This place is amazing

What a fantastic place . Easy access via key boxes , room 3B spacious and very clean , huge bathroom. Nice touch with the breakfast bits. overnight stay with friend for a golf trip. Parking was easy to find on the main road .

Absolutely amazing place! Wonderful host! After having to find another accommodation as we had a dog, last minute, they took us in, the room was beautiful, shower fantastic, loafs of room,loads of nice treats left for you and your fur baby,brilliant location right next to the shops and beach front,and a great dog friendly place to eat across the road..what else can you ask for!!
