About Shays Farm
Tucked near Tarporley, Shays Farm pairs a peaceful Cheshire setting with unusually upmarket glamping – luxury cedar pods with ensuite facilities and private electric hot tubs, some overlooking the stream. The spacious pitches and spotless shower blocks (praised for roomy, reliably hot showers) keep touring campers equally happy, while families appreciate the onsite play area and fishing pond. It's the sort of place where friendly, helpful staff seem genuinely invested in your stay.
Within walking distance you'll find a pub serving proper food, handy after a day exploring local market towns or the Sandstone Trail. Open year-round with electric hookups and WiFi included, Shays Farm strikes a nice balance between creature comforts and rural quiet – though with hot tubs on tap, this is glamping that leans decidedly toward the indulgent end of the spectrum.

What visitors say
We recently took our new Caravan for a couple of days to test it out. It was fabulous for this. Extremely well kept and clean site with beautiful facilities. The dog exercise area was a godsend for our two busy dogs, but it was equally nice to lead walk them around the site. The site is split into 3/4 sections so it is not noisy. Mostly it was definitely quiet by 10.30pm. The pond was lovely and peaceful to have a sit by. There were plenty of places to walk with a pub in walking distance an the hollies farm shop and restaurant a short drive, or longer walk.

Sam is the born host: very friendly and welcoming ! I didn't see the surroundings because I had a big laundry day, but what I saw, I liked: a very cared for camp, hot showers, clean toilets.. And an industrial washing machine and drier (great value for the money). I would have appreciated a bar on site - and a washing line, come to think of it, but I suppose you can't always have everything (and there was an ice cream truck on Saturday !). So thanks again for a very pleasant stay, Sam ! Best wishes, Rose

Nice stop over at Shays farm. The site is immaculate. Toilets spotless and the showers are huge. Tried fishing the pond but only had a 2 small perch . You need maggots if you’re going for the silver fish. Another camper caught an 11lb carp whilst I was there but I was not going for the carp. All in all a very well run site and a relaxing stay. On a side note don’t run out of coffee whilst you are there the on-site shop is a tad expensive.

Recently stayed at Shays Farm for 4 nights camping, site was really clean, toilets, big shower rooms, washing up and laundry area also, grounds are kept tidy, lovely dog run field, kiddies play field too, really big spaced out pitches which were ideal, shop could of been a little bigger but had essentials. Electric hook up and water taps by pitch and picnic benches which came in handy. Theres a country pub about a 10 mins walk from site which is nice for food and drink. You see lots of rabbits, birds of prey and pheasants around. Lady who runs the site was very friendly and helpful. Hoping to return again in the future.
