Blackberry Lodge

Blackberry Lodge is a detached bungalow built for comfort and privacy, standing on the grounds of Yolland House near Ashburton on Dartmoor's southern fringe. Everything is on one level: a living room with wood burner and Smart TV, a kitchen and dining area fitted with electric cooking, dishwasher and coffee machine, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom—one with shower cubicle, one with bath and shower—mean no queuing in the morning.

The first bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed (convertible to twins on request); the second is a standard king. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with Wi-Fi and initial logs for the wood burner. A cot and highchair can be arranged if needed. Outside there is decking with garden furniture and parking for two cars.

The property suits couples and small families wanting a base to explore local towns and walking routes without the bustle. An unfenced lake sits within the grounds, something to be aware of if you're travelling with young children. No smoking inside.
