You'll arrive into a hallway with washing facilities tucked away, then climb to the main living space—an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with bi-fold doors that open onto a balcony. The kitchen has everything needed to cook properly: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Downstairs are two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom; one has a kingsize bed, the other two singles that zip together. Both rooms have Freeview televisions. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included in the price.

Swift Cottage sits on 17 acres of shared grounds near East Ogwell, just outside Newton Abbot, with your own lawned garden and parking for two cars. A pub is within a mile. The location works well for exploring south Devon—Dartmoor is a short drive away, beaches at Teignmouth and Shaldon are roughly 8 miles distant, and Torquay is nearby with its caves and boat trips. Cyclists can use the off-road trail through Haldon Forest, or there's Go Ape for something different. The property does not permit smoking.
