In April 2026 we experienced a weeks' stay in The Oaktree Cottage at Little Dunley Cottages and we wish to share our positive review with others. Our accommodation was immensely satisfactory, being clean, comfortable, warm and very peaceful. Dom, the Estates manager, was friendly, helpful and with a pleasant attitude, which was coupled with efficiency. He could not be faulted. We both enjoyed the privacy of the garden and the close proximity to the swimming pool. The pool was a joy, as were the facilities therein. The cottage was equipped with all items to enable home cooking if we wished and there was a nearby laundry room. However, only one mile away was an excellent pub where we could enjoy a variety of menus. The location was great, being so near to Bovey Tracey and the various amenities. Places of interest, i.e. (House of Marbles) and being on the edge of Dartmoor itself, was an additional bonus. We can thoroughly recommend this holiday complex for a relaxing holiday, and will, no doubt, be returning at some time in the future.

Just back from a week in Apple Lodge as a family of six (two adults and four boys aged 10-1. They particularly appreciated the on-site facilities, tennis courts and games room. We loved the hot tub and the lodge itself was really contemporary, finished to a high standard with even a lovely little welcome pack awaiting our arrival. Whilst there, we had a small power cut and not all the appliances came back online afterwards, we called for assistance and the issue was fixed very quickly. I've holidayed a great deal in the UK and have rarely returned to the same accommodation, but would do so without hesitation in this case, we would love to go back again in the next year or two.

I've stayed at three of the cottages on site, Fig, Virginia and Willow and thoroughly recommend a stay here. The location is great if you like to walk or cycle with plenty of places for both. Set in acres of you can't beat the surroundings. The Claycutters arms pub is approximately 20 minutes walk away and Bovey Tracey is five minutes by car where you can find pubs and shops for all your needs. It's my first choice when staying in these parts and I always try and book here whenever possible.

Just had a short break here and stayed in the Acorn Cottage. Everything you need for a self catering stay. Hot tub was probably one of the best ones we have had in a lodge / Cottage break. Swimming pool was nice and your allocated a time in the morning for private use if you wish for your cottage or after 1 pm for everyone !! This is the second time we have been here and plan to visit again in the future. Dartmoor and Torquay are on your doorstep here and Bovey Tracey just down the road is an excellent place for different takeaways if you don’t want to cook or several pubs/Restaurants like the Claycutters is excellent for eating out !!
