This place is really special and in this instance you get what you pay for. The staff have this extra level of care which has been consistent whenever I have visited , that includes all staff, from reception through to the cafe. The place is magical, plan to spend the entire day as there is a lot to see and discover. Take the Right path up otherwise you will miss the stunning view points up to the falls. The smaller champitt falls are also really delightful. There are numerous benches and seating places everywhere to take a rest every few minutes if needed. I go out of holiday times so it isn't so busy. The fern gardens are delightful and I feel wholly refreshed from nature and the staff whenever I visit. Thankyou

This is the standout attraction in the area. A beautiful Valley and waterfall with many additional features to enjoy. The Site is very well managed, it’s clean and well maintained and the café Restaurant and Shop are fabulous. Although this attraction does involve fairly steep inclines the way the paths are orientated and laid out, It does give anybody with mixed ability the opportunity to rest and take in the scenery. This attraction needs to be taken slowly to be enjoyed. There is so much fauna to take in from blue bells to ferns. Although the waterfall is the main attraction do head across the estate to the Stone circles and additional Lakes. There are plenty of opportunities to sit and enjoy a picnic in beautiful countryside. The coffee and cakes in the shop were outstanding and the team were very friendly and helpful and considerate. The meals and drinks were good value and a nice way to end the visit. We look forward to returning late summer.

Really nice walk up to the falls, with some absolutely stunning views. As noted on site the paths are a bit uneven in places and can be steep- this is absolutely to be expected given the nature and heritage of the place and all paths are well maintained, guarded and signed. I didn't walk the lower route, but it seems to be flatter and an overall easier walk. The fern garden was an interesting little addition on the climb to the fall as well, bringing the uniqueness of the site to light. A decent café as well as good parking, I will be going back again.

Returning to this beautiful place as an adult after visiting as a child was truly amazing. My husband and I travelled all the way from Kent on Tuesday and decided to take the Falls Route. Some sections were a little challenging, but there were plenty of signs advising visitors to take care, and the effort was absolutely worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this route for anyone with mobility issues, but reaching the top and taking in the breathtaking view was such an achievement. After making our way back down, we treated ourselves to the afternoon tea for two, which was absolutely delicious 😋. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of parking available. A wonderful day out and a visit we’ll remember for a long time.
