About Atlantic Hotel
The Atlantic Hotel sits on the Esplanade above Castle Beach, with views that stretch across to Caldey Island and its working monastery. It has operated as an independent, family-run hotel for decades, building a loyal following among visitors who return to Tenby year after year.
Sea-facing rooms look directly out over the bay, and the hotel's restaurant and lounge share the same outlook, making it an easy place to watch the tide change over an evening meal. An indoor pool and small leisure area add options for days when the coast path or beach are less appealing.
Castle Hill, the museum and the harbour are all within a short walk downhill, with the return climb the only real drawback of a position that otherwise makes the most of Tenby's coastal setting.

What guests say
My stay at The Atlantic Hotel was truly wonderful. The swimming pool was great — I especially loved the option to reserve private time slots, which made the experience very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Another lovely touch was the charming garden area, which created a very pleasant atmosphere. I would happily come back again and definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Really great hotel, good location for both the beach and town. Very clean room and well equipped. We had a sea view which was stunning. The leisure facilities were excellent and spotless! We really enjoyed our swim! Breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfast’s I’ve ever had with everything fresh and wonderfully cooked. Staff were very friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Joanne and the gang went above and beyond making our stay over the top. They were kind and not in a scripted hospitality way, they are truly nice people that were knowledgeable of the area and helpful. Very refreshing, i brought my 85 year old parents and they made it feel like we were staying at a friend's house not some cookie cutter hotel.

This was a fantastic property and experience except for one drawback. For some reason the room we were in was being overheated because there were some kind of pipes running under the bathroom floor. It was so bad that some kind of marks were showing up on the bathroom tiling presumably in the shape of the piping. We were told afterwards that these weren't burn marks but were caused by a combination of heat and the cleaning product they use on the bathroom floor. But this didn't provide much peace of mind. It was bad enough that we had a safety concern. We knew the neighbours in the rooms next door and they felt the same heat from the floor. The bathroom had no window so the heat couldn't be vented out the window. You either had to shut the bathroom door creating a sauna-like effect, or keep the door open and then have a room that was way too hot. We were lucky we visited just after the heatwave. Even though outside temperatures were between 17-21 degree celsius, the bathroom heat issue was making the room uncomfortable. This would have been totally unbearable during the heat. Anyhow, after a lot of complaining we were given a great room upgrade, but I am removing a star because our issue was treated dismissively by a few (but not all) members of staff. If they can address this issue going forward, then your experience at the hotel should be tremendous! We were there in late June 2026.
