Clarence House Hotel

Just got back from a few nights at the Clarence House Hotel, and have to say i really enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant - polite and friendly without being over the top, which made a nice change. Breakfast was lovely every morning, can’t fault it at all. Set us up perfectly for a day out exploring Tenby. I felt safe throughout our stay which is always important, especially somewhere unfamiliar. The hotel has a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. All in all a great stay and I would definitely go back. Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Tenby - cracking location right on the Esplanade too.

Exceptional service that deserves more than its star rating! I travel a lot for business and stay in many different hotels, but the service I received at the Clarence House Hotel was absolutely top-class. Officially, it might look like a 2-star hotel, but in my opinion, it deserves far more than that because of how well they treat their guests. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. Everything they do, they do with care. I really appreciated my stay here and highly recommend it!

Did not stay at the hotel but regularly frequent the bar. Both outside on the front with an amazing sea view and also the lovely garden out the back which had a fantastic screen to watch the England vs panama match. Nikki deserves a special mention as she welcomed a reasonable group of us to watch the match and we had a great time with some live music after a tough bike ride during the long course weekend. It may be a bit dated in the bar but look past that as they serve great beer at a great price with a friendly atmosphere. 😀 next day went back and had a pizza too!

Last minute booking of two adjacent sea view rooms. One a twin and the other a king (or possibly a super king). Both very clean and plenty big enough for single occupancy. En-suites more than adequately big enough. Large bar/TV lounge and lovely courtyard garden, also with a TV, which allowed us to watch the England World Cup game whilst the live entertainment was going on in the bar. Property clean throughout, staff very pleasant and helpful. Great location, easy walk into Tenby and superb views of the beach from our rooms or the hotel's outside bar just across the road. Can't believe it's only 2 star rated unless it's due to the plentiful but small and tired (but clean) towels provided or the lack of toiletries. Overall very enjoyable and would definitely recommend (but suggest you pack extra towels and toiletries).
