St Osyth's shingle beach is within walking distance, and the salt marshes and tidal creeks that characterise this stretch of coast are on the doorstep. Clacton-on-Sea's seafront amusements and Colchester's museums and restaurants are a short drive away. Thistle Lodge sits on an estate surrounded by countryside, far enough from the main road to feel genuinely isolated.

The property is a converted barn with one bedroom and one bathroom, sleeping two. Large windows and a private terrace look over the gardens and estate grounds. Inside, original beams and brickwork sit alongside modern fixtures: good lighting, quality finishes, and contemporary comforts create a space that feels both characterful and comfortable. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Arrival is after 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
