This converted railway carriage from 1922 stands on the grounds of Horsebridge Station, where the owner lives in the original station building. The carriage has been fully renovated to combine period character with modern comfort, sleeping up to four guests across two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite shower room. One bedroom has a king-size bed; the other has two zip-and-link single beds that can be pushed together if needed.
The open-plan living space contains a sofa, two armchairs and a television, with a fully equipped kitchen running to a breakfast bar—everything needed to cook meals at your own pace. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, a patio with garden furniture overlooks the grounds. There is ample parking on site, and the carriage is no-smoking throughout. One well-behaved pet is welcome to stay.
Horsebridge is on the Test Way footpath, which follows the River Test through countryside known for walking and fishing. A pub lies within a mile. The nearest station is Horsebridge, and the location suits anyone looking for quiet countryside close to water and open countryside.
