Stable Cottage

Built as part of a working dairy farm in the 17th century, Stable Cottage retains its character through period details like the stable door and exposed stonework in the living room. A 2018 renovation brought it up to modern comfort without stripping away what makes it distinctive. The whole property is yours alone—a single bedroom with a king bed and ensuite shower, a living room with a 40-inch smart TV, and an open-plan kitchen and dining space with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There's a front garden with furniture and a barbecue, and parking on the road outside.

Two people can settle in easily here; the cottage isn't suited to children. Everything is on one level, though there are a couple of steps between the kitchen and dining area. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and one pet stays free of charge. No smoking indoors.

Margate's town centre lies within walking distance, home to the Turner Contemporary gallery, Shell Grotto and various cafés and bars. The Viking Coastal Trail runs nearby for cycling, and the beaches at Broadstairs and Ramsgate are a short drive away. A pub is within a mile on foot.
