About Royal Hotel
Royal Hotel works well for travellers who want a proper base in Thurso rather than a small guesthouse - wedding parties, business meetings and those touring the far north Highlands will find the scale and facilities here useful. With 103 rooms, it's one of the bigger options in the area, offering a restaurant and bar on site, air conditioning, free WiFi and a lift for easier access to upper floors.
Guests get the practical extras that make longer stays or group trips easier: breakfast, drinks available in the room, laundry service, luggage storage and concierge support. There's also a gym on site, meeting rooms for those combining business with travel, and a dedicated wedding venue setup for those marking an occasion. Valet parking and free on-site parking are both available, along with airport transfers.
The hotel sits close to Thurso itself, with pubs, restaurants and eateries nearby for evenings out, and the Castle of Old Wick offers a point of interest for those wanting to explore the local coastline. It suits anyone who wants Highland scenery within reach but prefers the comforts and services of a full-service hotel to fall back on.
