Did one night camping. Toilets are fairly clean, and there’s no problem using them. It’s not a huge area, but I really enjoy the stay!

Great wildcamping spot, worth the scary drive down! What a scenery to wake up to.. Space for multiple tents and they allow you to have a fire which is always a bonus! Tidy toilets. It is a tight squeeze through the gate to the car park so take your time driving in. Campervans and caravans not allowed, they stay on the other carpark on other side of the bay near the ice cream spot.

Visited 1st May 2026, sharing to help others. I arrived in a VW Transporter campervan with the idea of staying the night. Firstly, the entry to the campsite is very tight & at a horrible angle, I’m guessing the van would have fit through but ultimately I was not brave enough to try this in a hire vehicle & risk scratches… I then went to use the ladies toilets, both loos were extremely blocked, overflowing & unusable in my opinion… considered using the men’s as I was desperate but the smell was enough to halt my bladder. My advice is, if you want nice beach campsites head to the south of the island!! Sorry Calgary, you are not worth it :(

A beautiful serene place. There's nowhere better. Very basic, but then it is free (donations welcome though and should be given)
