Marina Beach House

Torquay's coastline draws people for good reason: the marina, the beaches, the cliff walks along the shore. Marina Beach House sits above communal gardens with direct access to that landscape. It's a ground-floor apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and enough space for four people to have their own corners. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and both bedrooms frame views across the water; French doors open onto a private terrace.

The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher—and the living room flows into a dining area where you can eat and watch the view simultaneously. One bedroom has an ensuite; the other has a separate shower room. Both beds can be arranged as doubles or, in the second room, as two singles if preferred. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; there's on-road parking outside and a public car park nearby. No smoking throughout.

From here you can walk to Torquay's seafront restaurants and bars, or follow the cliff path along the coast. The Unleashed Theatre Company is within reach if you want an evening out. Children under 5 are not accommodated except as babies in arms; the communal gardens are steep in places.
