Palm Cottage

Palm Cottage sits in Torre, within reach of Torquay's shoreline and the working harbour at Brixham. An 19th-century former quarryman's cottage, it has been updated for modern stays while keeping its period character. The building is yours alone, with parking on site and WiFi throughout. One dog is welcome here, and the no-smoking policy applies throughout.

Inside, the layout works well for four guests across two bedrooms—the main room has a double bed, and the second can be arranged as either twin or king-size beds with advance notice. A family bathroom serves both. Downstairs, the sitting room centres on a wood burner for warmth, and the kitchen is equipped for real cooking rather than just heating ready meals. Two outdoor areas—a raised rear deck and a front patio—give space to sit out in different weather. Bed linen, towels, electricity and WiFi are all included; check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.

Brixham's working harbour, cafés and restaurants are about ten minutes on foot. The South West Coast Path is accessible from here, and Shoalstone seawater pool, various beaches and boat trips are all within easy reach. On-street parking can usually be found locally, though it is not reserved.
