Wall Park Touring and Centry Road Camping Site

This site isn't great. The good stuff is the location. A ten or fifteen minute walk into the town harbour, although it's downhill, so a bit of a trek back, and the same to get to Berry Head reserve. There's a bar that didn't open and a snack bar that also didn't open. The site is totally open, no security of any type, barriers or cameras. Pitches in the field we were assigned aren't particularly level. Shower blocks are awful. Reminded me of a 1970's school gym block. Toilets were reasonably clean, but there was no dryer at the hand wash basin. Next door, a row of showers with no additional space to dry or put your gear, but a long row of bench seating and hooks outside the cubicles. There was a mop to clean the cubicle after you used it that was filthy. There was only one motorhome grey waste point, which someone had parked their car over, so we couldn't use. The guy opening up the reception told us to drain our grey waste on the pitch. 🫤. A lot of the pitches seem to be permanent residents, and had a bit of a gipsy feel. It wasn't a site my wife and I felt secure at, especially after she was harassed by a random stranger walking his dog through the site whilst I wasn't there. Fortunately I returned and he wandered off. They also chargean extortionate price just for electricity. £25 for 3 days in the middle of a heatwave. I doubt we used a fiver of that price. I won't be returning.

We love this campsite and have been loads of times. The bar has been added since we last came and the live music and drinks were great! Stayed with a campervan and awning. Easy walk to town and along the SW coast path to Berry Head or St Mary’s Bay (my favourite UK beach)

Situated in Brixham at the top of a steep hill. Good workout for the lungs and legs. The site itself was good with decent sized pitches. We had our caravan, a 2.5m awning and our car on our pitch and it didn't feel crowded. Water, waste water facilities good. Not much in the way of recycling other than glass. Assume biffa sort the paper, cans and plastic at their depot. Toilets and showers were reasonably clean with a second block opened both weekend days we stayed. Staff were friendly, informative and professional. My only criticism and hence the 4 stars was 2 seasonal pitches opposite ours looked really shabby with them having weeds and longer grass around them. (think pitch renters have to mow their own grass as saw 2 caravanners with lawnmowers). Both these vans had awnings that had seen better days and were strapped down, presumably to prevent then bring blown away when windy. It just looked tatty and spoiled our limited view. Other than this we had a good stay. We didn't use the bar or the cafe but these seemed popular, especially the bar on Friday/Saturday when an act performed. Oh, and the speed bumps... very OTT and severe!! IYKYK

On arrival, we were initially towing a vehicle behind our motorhome. Due to being directed the wrong way to the site, we decided to unhook the vehicle before continuing. In our opinion, had the vehicle remained attached, the unusually high ramps could have caused even more serious damage. During our stay, our motorhome suffered significant underside damage, resulting in a ruptured fresh water tank. Our car also repeatedly scraped on the ramps throughout the site. We raised these concerns directly with management afterwards. Initially, we were informed that other guests had also commented on the height of the ramps. However, the site has since denied liability and stated they have never received reports of vehicle damage. We fully understand the need for traffic-calming measures, but in our experience the ramps appear unsuitable for some camper vans, motorhomes, and lower-clearance vehicles. What disappointed us most was the handling of the complaint. Despite providing a detailed account and photographs, the response focused entirely on denying responsibility rather than properly investigating the concerns raised. We strongly advise owners of camper vans and motorhomes to avoid this site.
