About Kethla House
Kethla House is a period property on Belgrave Rd in Torquay, its classic bay-fronted design typical of the English Riviera's guest houses, now run as a small B&B with just seven rooms. The scale keeps things personal, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in the room and free WiFi throughout, plus family rooms for those travelling with children.
Breakfast is a particular strength, with a good spread of options each morning and coffee that guests single out as a highlight. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean and are decorated with care, and the team on reception, available around the clock, are consistently described as friendly and willing to help with luggage or local advice. Free on-site parking is a welcome bonus in a town where space can be tight.
The location suits those keen to explore the coastline, with walking and cycling routes nearby, golf and fishing within reach, and watersports on offer for the more active. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all close by for evenings out, making Kethla House a straightforward base for a Devon coastal break.

Absolutely lovely few days away here. Kethla House is beautiful and the decor throughout is lovely and well kept. Everywhere is clean and tidy. The hosts Jonathan & Sade are extremely welcoming and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. We will be back again to stay.

What a fantastic hotel, one of the best I have stayed at, the owners are so nice, friendly and passionate about running this hotel, This place was so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor, decorated to such a lovely quality and the rooms were exceptionally clean and well furnished. Jonathan is a great cook, not a single fault with anything with so much variety to eat and good quality food, better than restaurant quality. Great with kids and made them feel speacial cooking their breakfast and making that fun, I felt like we were at an auntie or uncle's house that you've gone to stay with over the holidays. I honesty can't recommend this place any higher. 2 tiny things that might not suit some people, and now I'm really nit picking. Car spaces are small but workable, so please be considerate if you're coming and park well so life is better for all the guests. Last point..... it's a bit of a walk up the hill from town so you'll need to be a little fit. Now they are so small of a point that it's not bothered us and we will be back this Autumn. See you soon guys. Thankyou Sadie and thanks Jonathan.❤️

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable matress, cosy and warm. The rooms and communal areas are decorated to a high standard. The hosts Jonathan and Sade were lovely and the breakfasts great. A few minutes walk to seafront and a 10-15 min walk to the train station. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed for three nights, bed and breakfast. Very clean and tidy communal areas and bedroom ok, a little small but had everything we needed. The shower needs attention, not good pressure and shower head kept slipping forward. Hosts were very nice, one little thing on arrival first impressions are important and the way you present yourself. We had to pre order breakfast and decide what time we wanted to eat on arrival, we picked 9am however the next morning asked to change to 8am but was told it had to be 9, the B&B was not full, think there are only 7 rooms so really should not have been a problem, on two of the days there was only us in the dining room. Breakfast was ok but my advice is change your eggs they were awful, practically no yolk, I didn’t order eggs on day two or three, my partner did but they were not good at all, other ingredients just ok, fab coffee. Overall it was a nice clean and tidy place and negative comments are just my views and what I think could improve things, thank you.
