About The Norwood

The Norwood occupies a Victorian townhouse on Belgrave Road in Torquay, its period character kept intact through five individually modest, classic-style guest rooms rather than a large, anonymous hotel setup. It's the kind of small-scale property where the building itself, with its traditional proportions and detailing, is part of the appeal.

Rooms are comfortable and traditionally furnished, with free WiFi throughout and access to round-the-clock reception whatever time you arrive back. Breakfast is homecooked and served each morning, setting guests up before a day exploring the coast, and there's a restaurant on site for evening meals too. Pets are welcome, and parking is available, which makes The Norwood a practical choice for those travelling with a car or a dog in tow.

Belgrave Road puts guests within reach of Torquay's seafront and the wider Devon coastline, making it a straightforward base for walking the harbour, visiting nearby attractions, or simply taking in the English Riviera at a gentler pace. With only five rooms, it suits those who prefer a smaller, more personal stay over a big hotel experience.

We have just had another excellent stay for 10 nights end of may.The Norwood is the only hotel we stay at it offers great service spotless clean and comfortable bed and room.Dinesh and Sabina are great host friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble they go above and beyond it is so central to the beach bus stop facing on Lucius street to town centre dawlish newton Abbot Paignton bus station could ask for a more perfect location. We are returning again end of July for another week. Well done Norwood and thank you for making our stays perfect.

Well after looking at reviews i hoping to be impressed, had issues on check in and room was a bit bland and bed wasn't very comfortable, only has 3 parking spaces so had to park couple streets away. On the plus side it is very clean

Well I booked on the strength of their rating and wasn’t disappointed, Sandia gave us a warm welcome and went above and beyond to help us. Rooms are nice and clean and we loved having a fridge in the room, plenty of shops and take aways all around and just a few steps away. Very reasonably priced considering its rating. Highly recommended 👍
