About Premier Inn Torquay Harbour
The Terrace runs along the seafront above Torquay harbour, with the marina, beaches and Princess Gardens all within easy reach, and Premier Inn Torquay Harbour takes full advantage of the position with a run of rooms looking straight out over the water. Across six floors, the 148 rooms come with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and family and accessible options, all finished in the chain's usual clean, modern style with comfortable beds.
There's a restaurant and bar on site along with a breakfast spread that offers a decent range of choices, and drinks can be brought up to the room. Staff are on hand around the clock at 24 hour reception, and the electric vehicle charge point covers guests arriving by car - though parking itself is via a chargeable, externally owned car park next to the hotel rather than dedicated hotel parking, which is worth planning for.
Beyond the doors, the harbour and town centre are close by, with walking and cycling routes along the coast, watersports and fishing available nearby, and golf and horse riding within reach for those wanting to explore further inland.
What guests say
Stayed here as a base for sightseeing around the area. It's well located less than 5 mins walk behind Torquay Harbour and easy to driving in and out of to get further afield. Premier Plus room was great and the aircon in this heatwave was spot on. Parking was easy in the car park behind the hotel. Make sure you park in the Premier Inn section at the far end, and then pay using the screens in the hotel reception. There is a lift that will take you back down to the hotel reception level without having to walk all the way around the far side of the building (with hill). Just head to the left corner as you walk back towards the hotel. Then as you exit the lift reception is straight ahead Only ate dinner in the restaurant once, when I was too tired to go out. Immediately told 3-4 items not available, and then when I ordered katsu curry I was told they'd run out of rice and was chips ok instead. Service very slow. There's plenty of other places nearby. Or enjoy fish and chips on one of the local beaches. Breakfast was fine, but tables not cleared, or cleared but not restocked. So if you go down later you need to go and hunt for cutlery etc.

Premier Inn are cutting staff so much so that's the restaurant could not open on the Monday night. This hotel is advertised as being on the bay which it's not. Once you have parked your car for which we paid £20 for two nights. You need to tackle quite a steep Hill to the hotel reception. The area seems to attract many homeless people as you pass the local coop. I will not be returning to this hotel.

One of the better Premier Inn. If you're lucky you get a good view but honestly, it's more about location, a good amount of parking (£10 for 1 night) and it feels newer than other Premier Inn hotels I've stayed in. Air conditioning works great. There is a heat wave in the UK right now. Nice to step into a cool room.

Fairly new hotel, already looking grubby in the communal areas. Booked a Premier Plus room and it was adequate. Thankfully quiet but the whole impression is of just doing enough. Mould on the grout, a sheet too small to be tucked in anywhere on the bed and just enough cleaning to be acceptable. Adequate for an occasional stay but not for anything special.
