Birdsong Cottage

Birdsong Cottage sits surrounded by Forestry Commission woodland on the North Devon and North Cornwall border, a couple of miles inland from the Atlantic Highway. The setting is rural and quiet—the village of Woolsery is nearby with a pub and restaurant, and a shop and post office lie three miles away. Beaches at Bucks Mills, Westward Ho! and Bude are within reach by car, as is the coastal village of Clovelly.

The whole ground-floor property is yours alone: one bedroom with a double bed, a shower room, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas. You get a working kitchen, Freeview television with streaming services, and heating and hot water included. There is Wi-Fi throughout. An enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue opens out from the living space, and you have parking for one car on site.

A permit for carp fishing on the on-site lake comes with your stay, and the garden is fully fenced. Dogs are welcome and stay free; several nearby beaches are dog-friendly, and the surrounding woodland offers plenty of walking. The cottage does not allow smoking.
