The North Devon coast around Hartland is one of England's least developed stretches of shoreline, with steep valleys, hidden beaches and villages that have barely changed in centuries. Clovelly, the famous whitewashed clifftop settlement, sits just beyond Hartland Point. Golden Park – The Linhay occupies a converted stone barn on a working mixed farm within this protected landscape, surrounded by woodland and fields rather than holiday parks or developments.
The whole property is on a single floor. Two bedrooms – one with a kingsize four-poster, one with a double – each have their own ensuite (one with a roll-top bath, one with a shower). The living and dining space opens via French doors onto a decked area with outdoor furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. A woodburner in the lounge works on logs; the initial supply is included, more available nearby. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. Central heating runs underfloor throughout.
The property sleeps four and accommodates two cars with private parking. There's a shared tennis court on the wider Golden Park site. A five-hole golf course is available to guests. Shops are five miles away. No smoking inside.

We had a fantastic stay at Longpark Linhay. The views were incredible and the converted barn was beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. The large garden and patio area were perfect for a dog owner. We will definitely be returning!

Wow what a place to stay . Only 30 mins to Torquay 20 mins to Paignton and you are in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for dog owners very large garden/ field all fenced in. The cottage is perfect all top quality fittings. Met the owners once couldn’t do enough to make your stay perfect. Never walked to pub very narrow roads with dogs on a lead would highly recommend Longpark Linhay cottage

We have spent a week feeling like we are at a country retreat. A stunning barn conversion set in the middle of the countryside is nothing but blissful. It’s quiet and peaceful, surrounded by fields and hills but a short drive to the beach. Access via country lanes are not for the faint hearted but well worth the drive to experience pure tranquility. Immaculately presented and spotlessly clean, the facilities are everything you need and more. Check in was made easy with a key box and electric gates which add extra safety and security, especially if you have children or dogs. Snap this up if there’s availability. You won’t regret it!
