Kittiwakes Cottage Appledore Devon
Torridge
Appledore's working waterfront and the North Devon coastal path are within moments of Kittiwakes Cottage. The village itself rewards wandering: independent shops, cafes and pubs line the streets, and the quay offers views across to Instow, reachable by car or ferry. Bideford, a proper market town two miles away, sits on the other side of the estuary.
The cottage is a traditional corner property spread over two floors. Downstairs holds a living room with a smart TV, and a kitchen/dining room where you can cook proper meals with an electric oven and hob. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two singles (note the step up to each). There's a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. On-street parking is available, with a public car park nearby. No smoking throughout.
The location suits anyone who wants to be in a real village rather than set apart from it, with the coast immediately accessible and enough local restaurants and cafes that you needn't cook every night unless you want to.
