Tillerman Cottage Appledore Devon
Torridge
Appledore's quayside and conservation village are within walking distance, lined with cafés, pubs and independent shops. Bideford—two miles inland—has a weekly market and larger facilities. Westward Ho! beach is nearby, facing out towards Lundy Island. The cottage itself is an early 19th-century terraced property on two floors, sleeping four across a double bedroom and twin, with a shower room upstairs. Ground level holds a living room with smart TV and wood burner, plus a kitchen/dining space with gas cooker, microwave and coffee machine. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen and towels are covered; wi-fi is available throughout.
The real draw is the position: you're yards from the water. Behind the cottage sits an enclosed courtyard garden with seating, a genuinely private spot in the heart of a busy village. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The cottage does not permit smoking. It's a straightforward base for anyone wanting to explore the North Devon coast without straying far from the pub or the path down to the harbour.
