Westward Ho! Sea Pool and the North Devon shoreline are within easy reach of Ocean Escape, a four-bedroom house on The Green in Bideford that works well for a larger group or extended family. The property spreads across three floors with a contemporary open-plan layout on the top level, where the kitchen, dining and living spaces flow together, and two bedrooms positioned lower down allow flexible sleeping arrangements. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra charge.

Each of the four bedrooms has either zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as super-kingsize doubles or kept as singles, or pairs of single beds; three bathrooms include a walk-in shower and heated towel rails throughout. The cinema room on the first floor has a 65-inch screen, Sky, an Xbox and a selection of games; a separate games space provides further entertainment whatever the weather. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and coffee machine. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; there is also parking for two cars and an electric vehicle charging point.

An enclosed south-facing garden on the first floor has seating and a charcoal barbecue. A ground-floor courtyard provides storage for surfboards with hooks for wetsuits. The property is no-smoking throughout.
