The Bridge Inn Apartment
Torridge
The Bridge Inn Apartment occupies the first floor of a 16th-century pub in Bridgerule, a village straddling Devon and Cornwall near the River Tamar. You have your own private entrance via seven steps, leading to a self-contained space with its own character: a living and dining room with a 40-inch TV and electric fire, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, one double bed and one single bed, and a bathroom with bath and shower. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. The shared garden has seating, and there is on-road parking available.
Five miles south lies Bude, where the coast opens into beaches suited to both swimming and surfing, backed by restaurants and bars. Holsworthy, five miles north, has shops, a leisure centre and a golf club. Tamar Lakes, a couple of miles away, offers water sports and fishing. The coastline between here and Cornwall's northern shores holds villages like Clovelly and Tintagel; the Eden Project is also within reach. In the evening, you can walk downstairs to the pub without worrying about driving anywhere. The property does not permit smoking.
