What visitors say
If you want freedom and nature then camping at Puddledock Woods is for you. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Lovely woodland full of nature. I loved the ethos of the place - low density nearly wild camping. Having no cars on the camping grounds makes a big difference - wheel barrows provided to move stuff from carpark. Site is well connected with footpaths to local area (including to Grove Ferry with a nice pub and playground). It is a great location, close to Margate, Broadstairs etc as well as the quieter Reculver. We also had a good morning at the nearby Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum. In terms of the campsite itself, we loved the outdoor shower under the vines. There is a handy amenities room with kettle, microwave and charging points. We had a firepit and a picnic bench where we pitched - it doesn't get better than having a BBQ under the stars! The children had great fun exploring - lots of trees to climb, and hidden woodland spaces. There was a bar and small shop on site (we didn't use either, but nice to know they were there if needed). Strongly recommend this amazing space!

Puddledock Woods is a wonderful place for a peaceful outdoor escape. It is a great spot for camping, surrounded by nature and away from the noise of busy areas. The woodland setting creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with plenty of walking trails to explore and enjoy the fresh air. The quiet surroundings make it perfect for those looking to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy a slower pace of life. One of the unique features is the collection of vintage vehicles, which adds character and a nostalgic feel to the area. It is an interesting place to explore, offering something different from a typical camping experience. A peaceful hidden gem with beautiful woodland walks, a relaxed atmosphere, and a great setting for anyone who loves camping, nature, and the outdoors.

We had a wonderful experience. The site has a wonderful "almost wild" feel to it, very quiet and peaceful, with clean facilities. There is a bar on-site; they serve excellent local ales that are a must try. Free to play snooker in the bar. The family running the place is friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a unique spot with some interesting history Loved the old air raid shelter signs. We are definitely going back!🏕️🔥

Lovely site has everything you need. It's a lovely place to go. If you're practising wild camping, I think it would lend itself to someone trying out hammock camping. Perfect spot. I always go there when I've got something new to try out the man who owns it is very approachable and would help anybody if they struggled to put up a tent there is a washing up room with a kettle and a microwave just in case your campfire cooking doesn't work and a toaster which I always struggle with when I'm camping the birds sing beautifully in the morning and I had three beautiful relaxing days just recently Thank you very much. I will see you again when I have more equipment to try out
