Stayed here for two nights due to our son 's wedding at nearby Marleybrook. Rooms clean, comfortable and well equipped, staff friendly, beautiful riverside location and pub food both good and reasonably priced, with live music as an added bonus. Only drawback is that breakfast isn't served, and there is nowhere nearby to have one, but the fridge provided in our rooms allowed us to bring our own. All in all a short but very enjoyable stay.

Amazing clean and fresh rooms. Well looked after. The food and staff at the dog and duck where wonderful. Very friendly and chatty. The food was amazing and well worth the money.

Came here for a night away and overall I was pleased with the accomodation. We stayed in one of the rooms above the pub. The room was incredibly clean and a fair size. The bed, despite it being 2 single beds pushed together, was still quite comfy and I had quite a good sleep. I think the only thing I can really criticize about the room is the water pressure in the shower was shocking. It felt like I was being dribbled on. Other than that the room was a very pleasant place to be. Regarding service, we did not see a single staff member on site. The little reception area was shut the whole of the weekend but the self check in Keysafe thing was easy to use. It was a bit of a shame that there were no staff on site as it would have made our experience a bit more welcoming. The location was nice, it was very peaceful with nice scenery. But where it was being in the middle of no where, there were no shops or anything. I got a bit peckish in the evening and wanted something to snack on during the evening but didn't want to drive anywhere and there was zero options around within walking distance and as far as I could see, no on site shop. Overall, I would probably stay here again but maybe at a different time of year as I have a feeling a lot of my issues were because I came off season.

An outstanding location for hiking or visiting, with nearby attractions such as Canterbury, Broadstairs, and Ramsgate, among others. The dog and duck pub offers excellent cuisine with exceptional service from all staff. Additionally, there are bands on weekends and cruises to the seals, all available right outside your door.
