About La Fontana - Restaurant with rooms
Wantage, in Oxfordshire, is home to La Fontana, a restaurant with rooms on Oxford Road that combines a serious dining focus with a well-equipped place to stay. The building mixes rustic character with a more polished, contemporary feel, and the restaurant and bar sit at the heart of the operation, backed up by a proper breakfast service each morning.
There are 15 rooms, air conditioned and stocked with in-room drinks, with a lift making all floors easy to reach. Beyond the rooms, guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa with sauna, along with a garden for time outdoors. The property also runs to meeting rooms and business services, making it as suited to work trips as leisure stays, and it doubles as a wedding venue with porter, concierge and valet parking services on hand.
Free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point make arriving straightforward, whichever direction you're travelling from, and free WiFi covers the stay throughout. Childcare is available for families who need it, and laundry service takes care of longer visits. Beyond the property itself, Wantage offers further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, along with local entertainment options for evenings out.
