Great location for Bakewell and the surrounding area. Facilities provided are everything you’d need. Everywhere kept clean and tidy.

Great location, the facilities were clean and tidy, had no issues. The camping site was friendly with everyone adhearing to the 10pm noise curfew. The views were amazing.

Brilliant place very accommodating. You have electricity to charge phones make drinks. Fridge for food to keep fresh. Easy to get to and beautiful views around within a short distance

The campsite has some lovely views, and we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, there were a few aspects of our visit that left us disappointed. When we arrived, two members of staff came over to check us in. When they saw that we had a TentBox, one of them said, “Oh, you have a TentBox,” while pulling a rather strange face. They then commented, “We will remember who you are because you have a TentBox.” I found this quite bizarre and, to be honest, it made us feel uncomfortable from the outset. The campsite advertises that it accepts rooftop tents, so I was particularly surprised by the reaction. We then had a large family group of around 30 people playing rounders directly next to our car, tent and seating area. This was followed by three men kicking a football around, with the ball coming close to our equipment and nearly knocking over our stove. The group was extremely noisy and continued making significant noise beyond the site’s stated quiet hours. It was disappointing as we had specifically chosen the site for a peaceful and relaxing break. I also find it difficult to understand the apparent issue with rooftop tents when they take up no additional ground space compared with a conventional tent, yet we seemed to be treated differently because we had one. The views are lovely and the location has potential, but unfortunately the atmosphere during our stay wasn’t what we expected. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing camping experience, this site might not be for you. People with TentBox’s clearly aren’t the problem.
