Mike

Awful: I booked this for the Easter Holidays as it said it was "Chance to learn new skills and meet new friends “Be coached by Watford’s award-winning Trust team” "Daily prizes to be won" "Participants will be coached by Watford FC CSE Trust coaches " First day, I got the times mixed up, thinking it finished at 4pm instead of 3pm I turned up to pick my son up at 3.55pm, he was the only one there, as stated it had finished at 3pm,I asked if they had my number and they said yes? As he left, nobody said “thank you” or “well done” When he got home he told me he was upset and worried ( so much for safe guarding) they got split up from all their friends and more importantly for those that had signed up for this course, there was no Coaching or learning new skills! Instead they just played world cup football non-stop for the whole three days. A couple of times when I turned up, FOUR teams were playing with no supervision, another time Four teams were playing with either just One coach or Two at the most, just watching and blowing the whistle at half time and full time, no interaction with the children’s what so ever of the games I was watching. When I emailed and complained I did not get an answer but the following morning the Head Coach who I presume was running (the courses) asked to have a word, not as you may off thought to apologise, his response to my complaint was. We did not phone you as your son said you thought it was a 4pm finish and we are here to at least 5pm. (meaning he would off not phoned me until 5pm?) There is no coaching (even though it says on the web sites) all they want to do is play football, (His words) No apology whatsoever, it was as if I was to blame for all this. So at the end of this, Football Match, the Two Teams who were in the Final got a Medal, the rest got an Easter egg, wall chart and probably one of the worst certificates I have ever seen, handed out as if it was confetti. Take Note Watford FC CSE Trust: If a parent does not turn up after say 15 minutes, call them Don’t say it is a football course with learning new skills and coached when it is just a football match. Or say you are giving daily prizes when you don’t. I know where I will be taking my son next for course and training LTFC much better and more understanding and friendly.
