About Nettwood Country Breaks

Tucked into the Mendip Hills AONB near Wells, Nettwood Country Breaks offers spectacular Chew Valley views from its thoughtfully spaced glamping units on a working farm. Set beside a bluebell field with private decking, each pitch balances proximity for families with enough space for genuine privacy. Birdsong fills the air, deer wander the woodland edges, and campfires are positively encouraged – gather fallen twigs from the tree-lined paths for evening barbecues.

The village pub and shop lie within easy reach, while local footpaths and cycle routes fan out across the Somerset countryside. Cheddar Gorge sits just 20 minutes away for cave tours and clifftop walks (essential after sampling all that cheese), and fishing lakes plus golf courses are equally close. It's a proper wildlife haven that manages to feel remote without sacrificing convenience, though with this many activities nearby, you might struggle to stay still long enough to enjoy the peace.

A fantastic place to stay. The location, views over Chew Lake, scenery, quietness, stuff for the kids, washroom facilities etc. We honestly can't fault it. We hired one of the two canvas pods- absolutely lovely. The camp site family were great too.

Nettwood Farm is a gem of a campsite hidden in the quaint village of East Harptree. The glamping pods are beautifully put together, spotless, stocked with all the essentials, and have a lovely bit of charm and character in each. The alpacas and playgrounds make it the ideal family destination, and Debbie is a fantastic host who makes everyone feel welcome. Nettwood Pizzas serve up delish pizzas over the summer weekends, such a treat after a busy day out adventuring! Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway to remember!

Nice campsite location overlooking Chew Valley Lake. Facilities on sight are small.

We’ve just had two nights at Nettwood Farm Campsite in the Woodland Pod - it was the best weekend. We loved the pod, it was perfect very well equipped. The wood fired hot tub was a dream - although in this 30 degree heat wave we didn’t bother lighting it and enjoyed it as a cool dip plunge pool instead to cool off each afternoon and eve after some gorgeous walks around the area! We aren’t ‘campers’ but this Glamping pod was wonderful. We forgot to bring tea bags, but nipped to the Tesco nearby on the Friday night, and also didn’t bring enough towels but this was sorted by Debbie and we collected what we needed that night too! Pizzas were great!l too! All in all it was a fantastic weekend away - we only live in Bristol so it was about 45-50 min drive but felt like we were a million miles away! A proper break celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary and great to be somewhere different in this heat wave and able to cool off :) Thank You! We’ll be back! :)
