The Gamekeepers Lodge sits in countryside between Welwyn village and Welwyn North station, a 15-minute walk away. Built in 1543, the property retains period character while offering modern essentials: wifi, heating and parking for two cars on the grounds. It's a detached building set back from the road with gated access.
Inside is a single kingsize bedroom upstairs, along with a bathroom that has both a bath and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs, an open-plan living area combines sitting space with a sofa bed (double), dining area and kitchen equipped for self-catering—electric cooker, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. A utility room houses the washing machine. Bed linen and towels are provided. One well-behaved pet is welcome to stay with you.
The surrounding grounds are shared with other properties on-site and include a bike store. Close by are country pubs, restaurants and Welwyn's historic centre. Smoking is not permitted inside. A games room with pool table and table tennis is available by arrangement if you ask when you book.
