The Chicken Coop

The Chicken Coop sits on a working farm in quiet countryside, though the centre of Hertford and the A10 are only minutes away by car. The farm park on site lets guests meet alpacas, lambs, pigs and other animals—free entry comes with your stay. A pub lies within a mile, and walking trails including the Chadwell Way Sculpture Trail thread through the local towns and countryside.

This glamping pod has two bedrooms—a double in the master and two singles in the second—plus a sofabed in the open-plan living space. A shower room is built in. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and outside there's a wood-fired hot tub overlooking the lake and a barbecue for summer evenings. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; please don't smoke inside.
