About Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club Site
The Camping and Caravanning Club's Hertford site is a spacious, well-run touring park on Mangrove Road, around fifteen miles from St Albans and a similar distance from Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City. Open to tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, it offers grass and hardstanding pitches, many with electric hookup, plus seasonal pitches and a selection of pre-erected Ready Camp glamping units for those without their own gear.
Facilities are comprehensive: heated toilet and shower blocks, laundry and washing-up areas, a children's play area with space for ball games, and a small shop for essentials. The sheltered site welcomes dogs throughout. Hertford's historic town centre, with its castle grounds, shops and riverside walks, lies an easy mile's walk from the entrance, while Panshanger Park's ancient oaks and lakes are just to the west. London is around twenty minutes by train from Hertford's two stations, and St Albans, Hatfield House and the Lee Valley are all within half an hour's drive, making this a well-placed base for touring Hertfordshire and beyond.

The site is ideal location for us too pitch and visit our family in London....we asked too be near park for visiting grandchildren and families block was near by.....we were shown too the spot...hubby tried too secure the awning and was struggling too hit the pegs into hard standing .it was like concrete....families were clean if a little dated... Apart from pitching up the staff didn't engage in conversation or when passing wave or say hi..which is very unusual on c&c sites . We arranged for son too drive his car too put pitch so he could swap over car seats for kids etc.vit that changed for whatever reason and he had too walk too us and then transfer later ?? All in all it's a nice site if we need too will maybe use again. For a couple of nites

Great place for a weekend away with the grandchildren. They loved the playpark, the open areas for ball games and the roads were safe for a supervised bike ride. Lots of room between pitches that were nice and level.

Nice welcome to us very friendly on the phone and even more so on arrival. Beautiful site acting a little bit as a dormitory for London and area. Children seemed happy here and were whizzing around on bikes and scooters. Very level. Not much on offer at the shop, very basic. The site had very clean facilities and was beautifully kept throughout.

My husband and I had an amazing time at the campsite along with our two dogs. The staff were ever so helpful and nice. It was our first time camping ... we could definitely get used to it!😁😁
