Peartree Cottage

This stone cottage occupies its own corner of a 2-acre rural holding near Okehampton, with a fenced garden opening onto wildflower meadows you're free to explore. The grounds include a wildlife pond and shared natural spaces with garden furniture; a courtyard garden with patio and BBQ is yours alone. There's parking for two cars and a bike store on site.

Inside, the ground floor has a living room with woodburner, Freeview TV and DVD player, and a kitchen-dining room with electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom, the other with two singles and shower ensuite. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, plus initial logs for the woodburner. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is shared with other properties on the site. The cottage comes equipped with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate for families with young children, and owners provide a welcome pack plus doggy extras for guests travelling with a pet.

Okehampton itself is close by, with a recently reopened railway station connecting to Exeter. From here you can reach Dartmoor National Park, beaches at Bude, the fishing villages of Port Isaac and Boscastle, and the Hartland peninsula. The cottage does not permit smoking.
