Visited after lunch as no picnics are allowed in the gardens and the gardens don't open until midday, We had our picnic at Brixworth Country park which is very nearby. The gardens are extremely tidy and well maintained. Plenty of plants in flower at the moment, the roses putting on a fine show and giving of strong fragrance in the sunshine. The interesting array of plants is enhanced by the presence of chickens, ducks and flamingos roaming freely around the grounds. We finished off our visit with a fabulous slice of cherry and almond cake at the cafe. Well worth a visit.
