Milton-under-Wychwood is a working village with a Co-op, a handful of pubs, and enough local life to feel lived-in rather than museum-like. From here you can reach Bourton-on-the-Water, Blenheim Palace and other Cotswold highlights within 20 minutes or so, but the village itself is quiet enough that you won't feel you have to go anywhere.
Patience Cottage is built from Cotswold stone and arranged over two floors. Downstairs holds a living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen with a breakfast bar and electric cooking, and a walk-in shower room. Two bedrooms are upstairs—a king in the master and a double in the second—along with exposed beams. The garden is at the front, enclosed and furnished with seating and a barbecue. You get parking for two cars on site. One dog can stay for free. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are covered; heating is gas central with wood for the burner included to get you started. A travel cot and highchair are available. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
The layout suits a family or two couples wanting their own space without the formality of a larger house.
