3 Force Forge
Westmorland and Furness
3 Force Forge is a converted worker's cottage dating from the mill era, part of a small terrace beside what was once a bobbin mill. The building sits on the edge of Grizedale Forest in quiet countryside south of Satterthwaite, where a pub is within walking distance. The cottage itself is compact and practical: two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), a shower room, and a combined living and dining space with an open fire. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave, plus a washer-dryer. Towels and bed linen are provided, and heating is included.
The property suits smaller groups and comes with parking outside, a bike store (useful given the forest's cycling network), and a garden on the far side of the rear drive, reached via a shared path. The river runs unfenced along the property boundary. Satterthwaite's pub is close by; Hawkshead, with restaurants and cafes, is a short drive. Walks and cycle routes start from the door—Grizedale Forest offers everything from straightforward trails to sculpture routes. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
