Barn End

Barn End is a converted barn sleeping three in Westmorland and Furness, near Pooley Bridge. It works well for couples or a small family wanting their own space without fuss. The whole property is yours alone, with two bedrooms—one with a king bed and an ensuite bath, the other with a single bed—plus a second bathroom with a walk-in shower. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and there is private parking for two cars on site.

The ground floor centres on an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen equipped for real cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. The living area has a wood burner and a smart TV for quieter evenings. A sitting area outside the cottage looks over the grounds. Biomass central heating runs September to May with logs provided. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. A pub lies within a mile. Pooley Bridge gives access to Ullswater and walks in the Lake District National Park, with Barton Hall Country House just nearby as a reference point.
