The fell ridges of High Street and Helvellyn rise nearby, making this a natural fit for anyone planning to hike or explore.

The cottage holds four bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors, sleeping seven. Downstairs has a living room with a wood burner, a kitchen that runs to a dishwasher and washing machine, and two bedrooms. One bedroom contains a kingsize bed; the other has two single beds. Upstairs, a further kingsize bedroom and a single room complete the sleeping arrangements. The bathrooms include both a shower cubicle and a tub with overhead shower. Electricity, bed linen and wi-fi are included; the wood burner's initial fuel is covered from September to May. A cot and highchair are available.

An enclosed garden with a patio, garden furniture and barbecue opens to the property. Parking for three cars sits on site, and a bike store is provided. The cottage is for families and couples only; smoking is not permitted.
