Cartmel Cottage

Cartmel Cottage is a converted wing of a country house set within ten acres of grounds near Grange-over-Sands. You arrive on the ground floor into an open-plan living space with a kitchen fitted for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, microwave, plus fridge and freezer. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a king bed, the other with two singles that zip together, and a bathroom with both bath and shower.

The cottage comes with essentials covered: wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels. Heating and hot water are provided. There is private parking for one car and an enclosed garden with patio furniture. One dog stays free. You have the whole property to yourself, though the surrounding grounds are shared with other holiday lets on the estate. Note that the cottage has steep spiral stairs to the first floor.

The location suits exploring southern Lakeland without being in the thick of it. Grange-over-Sands is three miles away with shops and a golf course. A pub serving food is half a mile away. Cartmel Priory and several stately homes are within reach for days out. The countryside and coastal views from the grounds are genuine; Windermere is twenty minutes' drive.
