Guards Cottage

Gleaston is a quiet village in South Westmorland and Furness, positioned between the central Lakes and the coast. Guards Cottage sits here as a single-storey property with everything on one level: a bedroom with a double bed, a shower room, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The whole cottage is yours alone, sleeping two.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer are all here. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. You have parking for one car on site, and a back garden shared with the owner. Smoking is not permitted.

Within five minutes on foot is Gleaston Water Mill. A 30-minute drive reaches Coniston Water or Lake Windermere; the coast and Walney Island's beaches are roughly five miles away. Barrow in Furness, with its Dock Museum and shipbuilding heritage, lies further south. The area suits walking, cycling, and access to a mix of restaurants, museums, nature reserves and outdoor activities.
