Loadpot

Loadpot sits high enough to command views across Ullswater and the surrounding fells, yet close enough to walking country that you step straight into it. The Lake District's most popular routes—Blencathra, Helvellyn, lakeside paths, waterfall trails—are all within reach. A pub lies less than a mile away for evenings when cooking holds no appeal.
The apartment occupies the ground and first floors of a small development. Downstairs is a bathroom with bath and shower; upstairs, an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with a TV and DVD player, plus a dishwasher and washer-dryer to handle the practicalities. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a double bed, one with two singles. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved dog stays free. The shared garden has a sitting area, and there is parking for two cars on site. No smoking inside the property.

What guests say
Loadpot Hill, at 671 metres, and its trig point occupy an expansive, flat-topped fell between Arthur's Pike and Wether Hill. It has commanding but distant 360-degree views of the surrounding fells from its barren, flat top that you know must be a nightmare during high winds in winter. The trig point is not the actual summit; the summit is nearby but unmarked.
