Milo’s Retreat

The Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape wraps around this part of Westmorland and Furness—a stretch of coastline and rolling terrain where woodland, limestone hills and estuary meet. Milo's Retreat sits in the quiet countryside near Arnside village, close enough to walk to the promenade and its cafés and pubs within about fifteen minutes, yet far enough out to feel properly rural. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on a single ground floor for easy access.

Inside, the open-plan living and kitchen space is built for comfort rather than cramping. There's a bedroom with a super-king-size bed (which can be split into twins if you prefer), a shower room, and enough kitchen equipment—including a dishwasher and oven—to cook properly rather than just make do. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One dog can stay free. The cottage does not permit smoking.

From the doorstep, walks lead directly into the surrounding countryside. Arnside's estuary is a short walk, and the wider area rewards exploration: Silverdale's quieter coastal paths, the nature trails around RSPB Leighton Moss, and viewpoints across Morecambe Bay. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are within reasonable driving distance for day trips. Grange-over-Sands, across the estuary, is reachable by train from Arnside station.
