Couples, families and small groups of four will find The Cottage at Breeze Hill a comfortable base for exploring the area around Arnside and the Lake District. This single-storey bungalow sits near the coast in Carr Bank, with a private garden and parking for one car. One well-behaved dog stays free.

The layout centres on a large kitchen and dining space where you can prepare meals using the electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and American-style fridge. An electric fire warms the room for evening gatherings. The adjoining sun room catches the light, and a separate living area contains a Smart TV with Netflix and PlayStation 4. Two bedrooms sleep four: the first has a zip-and-link super-kingsize bed that can be configured as two singles, the second has two single beds. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, bath and heated towel rail, with a separate cloakroom off the hallway. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; you'll need to provide your own towels for pets. A cot and highchair are available, and there's a BBQ and garden furniture outside.

Access is level to the entrance, though the approach to the property involves uneven uphill stone steps. No smoking inside. Guests arrive from 15:00 and leave by 10:00.
