No.2 Farfield Cottage opens straight into a combined living and dining space with kitchen to the side—a straightforward layout that makes the most of the ground floor. Freeview TV and a DVD player are ready in the living area; the kitchen has what you need to cook, including an electric oven and microwave. Upstairs, one bedroom holds a double bed, the other two singles, served by a bathroom with bath and shower over. Electricity and bed linen come as standard, and heating is via individually controlled panel heaters throughout.

The cottage sits on the banks of the River Clough on Sedbergh's outskirts, with an enclosed patio garden and parking for two cars on site. Walking straight from the door puts you onto the Howgill Fells; the Farfield Mill Heritage Arts Centre is next door. A pub is within a mile. The garden borders the river, so water is part of the immediate setting. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking indoors.
